My cyber-friend, Raylene, has been so faithful to follow my blog and for quite awhile I was posting about my home remodeling projects and my pets. But, as I've gotten more involved with posting on Facebook, I've begun to neglect my blog. So for Raylene, an update.
First some sad but relieving news. My dear sweet father passed away on March 5th. He was 85 years old and had not been well for quite some time. So, even though we miss him, we're glad he's no longer uncomfortable and in pain. He was an amazing man! So talented and interesting. And he loved his kids!!!
In the critter department, Buddy, the puppy I rescued last July is now a year old! I can't believe it. And he's a little too "fluffy" according to the vet. I've been taking him jogging with me almost every morning so maybe that will slim him down a bit.
Here he is listening to his birthday card from Grandma.
And a little more sad but relieving news is that I had to have my dear sweet little dog Frances put to sleep on May 1st. She was getting so old. She couldn't see or hear well and had lost her appetite. My vet's office has a lovely, calm chapel with a comfy sofa and she laid there peacefully in my arms. She was such a blessing in my life!
But, things are really good here in my little bungalow. Buddy has his new little sister, Amie, who appeared on my porch last November. They are nearly the same age and play so well together. Well...except when he tries to bite her head off!
I caught them the other day looking out the window together. They're always doing something cute!
I haven't done anymore on my remodeling projects. My next plan is for a fence around the backyard. I need a place where Buddy can run and I know he's safe! So, fingers crossed that will happen this year.
